Amazon Astro & Consumer Robots
Since 2019, I’ve been managing a design team working on consumer robots at Amazon. My team specializes in UX, VUI, Sound, Motion, Visual Design, and Design Technology. We announced our first robot, Astro, in September 2021.
Amazon Echo Show (2018)
In 2018, my work on Echo Show was focused on making Echo Show easier to learn, and helping customers find things they can do with Alexa. I also worked on increasing expandability to new information sources, including third-party developers.

Amazon Echo Spot
In 2017, I adapted my work on Echo Show to Echo Spot, a small and novel form factor. Like on Echo Show, I defined the user interaction model and the patterns to help all Alexa features adapt to a small, circular screen.
Amazon Echo Show
In 2015 and 2016, I was lucky to design the core UI for the first generation Echo Show. I designed the Home screen, the patterns that composed each of the Alexa features at launch, and set a path for future expandability.
Amazon Kindle
From 2012 to 2015, I was the lead UX designer for Amazon's Kindle e-readers, including Kindle Paperwhite, Voyage, and Oasis. I led design from concept review and approval through production design. In 2015, I led the redesign of the home and library pages, and refreshed the whole system UI. I love being able to see people using the features and products I designed each time I board an airplane.
T-Mobile
From 2012 to 2013 I designed internal software for T-Mobile retail and phone care representatives. My time at T-Mobile taught me how to work under tight constraints and how to understand deeply complex systems.
